Who is it for? 

Specifically designed to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills needed to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use a defibrillator safely in emergency situations

Pre-Requisites 

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment.

Duration

Half day

Course Contents

Basic life support; Recovery Position; CPR; Choking; Safe use of a defibrillator; Procedures for when Emergency Services arrive; Basic defibrillator maintenance.

Assessment

Courses will be internally assessed by the tutor.

Qualification

Certificate valid for 1 years.
